Aqua Birthday

08 Happy Birthday.JPG

Hello Everyone,
The card that I am sharing with everyone today is for a very special lady, my Mother-In-Law Alison, and I wanted to try my had at clean and simple. I find clean and simple hard to achieve – Do you think I achieved this?

I was inspired by AAA card challenge #122

I love stencils! I have a folder full of them but sometimes I forget that they are there :/ But I got out a favourite stencil – Crafters Workshop Open Flowers and since my MIL loves aqua I chose to use Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and a sponge dauber.

For the sentiment I used a Happy Birthday Die that I got from a magazine – isn’t it pretty. I cut this out using my Cuttlebug and some aqua card stock and some black card stock. Before cutting these out I put some double sided adhesive paper on the back of each to make attaching these to the card a lot easier.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my project today. And as always I would like to leave you with this thought:

Vonnegut

Oh this is so true. I was questioning trying this style of card but I ended up having so much fun. Because I was sitting at my craft desk and I appreciate any time I get to spend here.

Have a Happy Crafty Soul Growing Kind of Day,
❤ Tracy
