Birthday Tea

10.26 Birthday Tea.JPG

Hello everyone. The card I am sharing is definitely not my normal. This time around it is a shaped card. And I am very grateful for my Brother Scan ‘N’ Cut machine because of it I was able to make this card with a lot more ease than if I had to do it all by hand.

This card was inspired by the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog. This time around they are asking for shaped cards – Definitely NO Squares, Rectangle, Oval or Circle Cards. So Not your average Shaped Cards.

The products used were 2 sheets of A4 sized 210gsm weighted White Card stock, purple scrap of card stock, paper from Kasiercraft from my stash and Mowed Lawn & Shaded Violet Distress Inks.

Using my Brother SnC to cut out the Teapot bottom as a shaped card base and then a single teapot bottom from the patterned paper. But I cut off the handle and the spout from this as I only wanted the body. Using my Mowed Lawn ink I inked up the edges of both the card base but also the patterned paper to give it a bit more depth.  Then I re-loaded the SnC matt with the purple paper and the 2nd A4 sheet of card stock. And cut the top from the purple and the Happy Birthday sentiment 3 times from the 2nd sheet of white card stock. I then ombre inked one of the Happy Birthday sentiments before gluing all 3 together to make a stacked sentiment. Then I assembled all of the parts together. To give this card to my friend I had to make a handmade envelope because I didn’t have any that were big enough.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my project. And as always before you go I would like to leave you with this final thought

You'd rather have a powerful tea packet than a strong brew any day. - 15 oz. - Ceramic - Microwave Safe - Dishwasher Safe

I am definitely not a coffee person. I have always been a Tea drinker but sometimes its Milo but not coffee. But no matter your drink – may you find to enjoy a cup either by yourself with a good book or with a friend.

Have a Happy Crafty Hot Drink Kind of Day,
❤ Tracy
